This range of highly detailed cast miniature figures was originally conceived for model railway use but the breadth of the range and the realism of each character makes them ideal for use in many other applications including architectural models, dioramas, military modelling and with model vehicles. The greater part of the range is suitable for the 1930's to early 1950's period (although some may be suitable for early 1960's). A recent addition is a range of Modern Image figures to the same high standard. The majority of the figures in this range are to a scale of 1:76 (4mm - 1ft). This means that they are suitable for use on model railways built to OO, EM and P4 gauges and in dioramas featuring other Dart Castings products. A smaller but expanding part of the range is to a scale of 1:43 (7mm - 1ft) making these figures suitable for use with O gauge model railways and a wide selection of racing cars. Most recently we have added figures to a scale of 1:148 (2mm - 1ft) for N gauge modellers. Click on the Monty's Models button for full product range and price list.

This specialised range of 4mm scale etched and cast railway vehicle components is renowned for its quality and fidelity. The MJT series comprises three principle categories; Suspension (compensation) units for rolling stock, etched and cast components for a range of BR (SR) and LNER coaches plus a wide range of fixed and sprung buffers, cosmetic axleboxes, leafsprings and other items for the finescale modeller. The MJT gearbox conversion units for Portescap motors are also available. Click on the MJT Scale Components button for full product range and price list.

Shire Scenes is a manufacturer of etched brass kits which support the model railway/model landscape hobbies. The kits are are avaialable to a scale of 4mm to 1ft (00 gauge) and also 2mm to 1ft (N gauge). The kits are best described as 'origami in sheet brass' except that they are generally far more simple than the Japanese paper-folding craft. Kits may be assemblesd with super-glue avoiding the need for soldering skills. Etched brass is ideal where delicate detail is essential or where thin metal sheet or plywood is a medium on the prototype. The range includes horse drawn vehicles, street/platform furniture and the well known range of GWR coach sides for 4/6 wheel vehicles. Click on the Shire Scenes button for full product range and price list.

Shire Scenes also produce some Z gauge kits and kits specific to the European/US scale of 3.5mm to 1 ft (H0) but these are not available online from Dart Castings.

This is a range of 4mm scale etched and cast railway vehicle kits and components for GWR modellers. It includes etched coach sides and a number of specialised GWR components. Excellent results and unusual vehicles are possible but the kits are not for beginners. Click on the Frogmore Confederacy button for full product range and price list.

The Trackpass range of 1:43 scale (7mm) figures features a number of characters that might be found at motor sport events; drivers, photographers, spectators, etc. These figures are primarily intended to complement the extensive range of 1:43 scale racing cars, rally cars and general paraphernalia to be found at motor racing venues which are available from various manufacturers. It is anticipated that they will appear in dioramas depicting the motor racing scene from the 1950s onward. Modellers may, however, find that some of the figures can be used more widely; indeed some already feature in the Monty’s Models ‘O’ Gauge range.
